OSI Quad Foam Sealant is a professional-grade polyurethane expanding foam designed specifically as part of the OSI Quad Window & Door Installation System. It is engineered to insulate and seal the gap between window and door frames and their rough openings, helping create a continuous air and moisture barrier that improves energy efficiency and long-term building performance.
This foam is formulated with a low-pressure, minimal-expansion design, which is critical for window and door applications where excessive expansion could distort or bow frames. Instead of aggressively expanding, it gently fills voids and irregular gaps around jambs, shims, and framing cavities while maintaining controlled pressure. This makes it especially suited for installation environments where precision and dimensional stability are required.
Once applied, the foam expands into a closed-cell structure that bonds strongly to common building materials such as wood, OSB, plywood, drywall, masonry, concrete, PVC, aluminum, and fiberglass. After curing, it forms a rigid insulating layer that helps reduce air infiltration, limit moisture movement, and improve thermal efficiency around fenestration openings. It is designed to remain durable and flexible enough to accommodate normal building movement without cracking or shrinking.
Packaged in a 16-ounce canister, this product is intended for use in both interior and exterior window and door installation projects. It is widely used by professional installers and contractors during new construction and remodeling work where reliable air sealing, moisture control, and compatibility with the full Quad system are required for proper performance.
